Jane Eyre 1

Since we have talked about "foils" in Hamlet, let's see if you can apply the concept of "foils" to Jane Eyre...
Can you identify one of Jane Eyre's "foils"? How is this character a "foil" for Jane, and what effect does this have on you, the reader?

Can't wait to see your choice!!!

Hamlet...

I really wish you guys would read a little better... I feel very bogged down when I have to "translate" the whole ACT for you...and I am sure that the people who did read are bored when I have to "translate"... but other than that... I appreciate your attention and, for the most part, your enthusiasm, too.

What do you guys think about the play so far... (please be polite... to Shakepeare, at least!) :)

Shakespeare begins...

Are you ready for this? Shakespeare can be fun if you open your mind... so get ready to have a little fun, but please--bring a little enthusiasm with you when you come to class over the next few weeks.

Do you have any burning questions before we begin?
